They need to apply their creative imagination and professional skills in different situations. The Department of Mechanical Engineering imparts technical knowledge to the students, nurtures their problem-solving skills and involves them in the innovation of modern technologies.
The department is continuously striving hard to achieve excellence in education and academics keeping in pace with advancement of technology and requirements of industry.
Our main goal is to upskill students in accordance with industry requirements and equip them with advanced R&D. With all of these advancements, NIET has advanced the cause of increasing the academic competitiveness of automated manufacturing in India. In addition to the aforementioned resources, we have the PTC Center of Excellence, which improves students' knowledge and skill development.

The department provides a Mechanical Engineering UG program as well as a Mechanical Engineering PG program. Besides the academic program, the students receive training and certification for COURSERA, MOOCs, INFOSYS SPRINGBOARD, etc., certification courses.
Professional chapters of numerous technical organizations, including ISHRAE, ASME, SAE, and ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education), are established in the department for the overall grooming of the students and faculties.
