BioTrendz, an initiative by NIET's Department of Biotechnology, promotes original research and development in the field. It aims to raise awareness of new biotechnology advancements and foster collaboration and communication among researchers and practitioners from various scientific backgrounds who share an interest in biotechnology. Through BioTrendz, the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and innovations will drive progress and breakthroughs in the biotechnology sector.
About Department
The Department of Biotechnology, established in 2012, is currently offering education for B.Tech. and M.Tech. Degree in Biotechnology. The Department is NBA-accredited and has well-qualified teachers with broad research experience. The students are enthusiastic and highly motivated. The mission of the Department is to evoke a zeal in young minds to gain technical, analytical, and employability skills. The Department has well-established laboratories to support research and teaching.
About Swadeshi Science Movement of India (SSMD)
The Swadeshi Science Movement, led by the visionary Prof. K.I. Vasu, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting science popularization and integrating modern technology with ancient sciences in India. Founded as the brainchild of Prof. Vasu, it spearheads the development of Swadeshi policies in Science, Technology, and Education. With 22 independent units across the country, Vijnana Bharati, the most renowned arm of the movement, combines traditional and modern sciences, as well as natural and spiritual knowledge, to address national needs and foster a dynamic, self-reliant science culture in India.
