Prof. (Dr) Rashmi Mishra

Dr. Rashmi Mishra (Ph.D.) is a visionary academic leader serving as Professor and Head of the
Department of Biotechnology at NIET, Greater Noida. With more than two decades of
experience, she has demonstrated excellence in academic governance, research leadership, and
outcome-based education.

She has been instrumental in steering the department toward quality benchmarks, including
successful NBA accreditation cycles, and actively contributes to institutional accreditation and
continuous improvement processes aligned with NAAC/NBA frameworks. Her expertise
includes curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and implementation of outcome-based
education practices.

Dr. Mishra's research contributions include 70+ publications in high-impact journals and a
granted patent, reflecting her commitment to advancing knowledge in biotechnology and
sustainable technologies. She has also secured research grants and actively promotes
interdisciplinary and industry-academia collaborations. She is an editorial board member for
several international journals, a life member of multiple scientific bodies, and an active mentor
for startups and academic quality enhancement programs.
An advocate of innovation and entrepreneurship, she mentors startups and fosters design
thinking culture among students and faculty. As a trained mentor under the IIM Lucknow
mentorship program, she emphasizes holistic student development and career readiness.
