Our Mechanical Department is a center for education, research, and practical experience, and it is built to give students the information and abilities they need to succeed in the ever-evolving area of mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineering (MECH) is a core discipline and the mother of all engineering. The department was established in the year 2001 and it offers one U.G. Degree Programme – B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering and one P.G. Degree Programme M.TECH. in Mechanical Engineering affiliated to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. In addition, the department is also recognized as a research center. Well-trained and qualified faculty members drawn from leading industries and academic Institutions form the backbone of the department. The department has an IDEA lab, sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi, and also a cutting-edge technology-based PLM lab in collaboration with PTC, USA. The other labs are also included like Rapid Prototyping and Automation lab etc.
Cognigent, Capgemini, Byju, OPPO, Motherson Sumi, Voltas India, and DXC Technology, are some of the prominent placement companies that visit our campus for campus recruitment. The department is well known for its vibrant club activities and professional chapters. The students are trained through the advanced labs and Centres of Excellence like PLM training through Windchill for CAPGEMINI, ADAM certified course in collaboration with Mercedes Benz, etc.

The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories like Additive Manufacturing, Automation lab in collaboration with Janetics, CNC simulation Lab, Robotics lab, etc. Our students have access to hands-on experiences that bring theory to practical life. Our commitment to practical learning ensures that graduates are well-prepared for the challenges of the industry.

The department has active professional chapters of various technical bodies such as ISHRAE, SAE, ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education), etc.
Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET), Greater Noida is the first private institution in Uttar Pradesh to get Autonomous status by UGC. The department is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi. The Institution is Accredited by National assessment and Academic Council (NAAC), an autonomous institution of UGC, New Delhi with A Grade. Institution has NIRF ranking in the band width 100 - 150. As per the direction of the AICTE the department is also striving to implement the NEP for the benefit of the students. Teaching pedagogy is student centric and nurturing through all round development. The students are trained and certified in a number of Coursera and MOOCs certification courses apart from the academic curriculum. This enhances the employability of the students and develops self-confidence to compete in the global cutthroat competition. This year students are hundred percent placed with appreciable package.
