The Office of International Outreach and Partnerships advances internationalization at NIET by facilitating intercultural learning opportunities and fostering a global campus community

Objectives

The Office of International Outreach and Partnerships provide specialized international study programs and internship opportunities that would enhance our students' academic and professional development and expand the students outlook in global community. The Office shall:

  • Develop international exchange programmes, short-term study tours at both the undergraduate and graduate levels to help students gain exposure to international education all across.
  • Identify and conclude partnerships with Universities/Higher Education Institutes that will allow unique opportunities for our students and faculty in global community.
  • Provide assistance and support for University nominations, applications, credit mapping, overseas internships and sponsorship opportunities that helps to create a more culturally diversified learning environment for students.
  • To help students furnish global knowledge and competencies that students will need to perform in dynamic international market.
  • To promote the performance and reputation of NIET in international community.
  • To increase exchange of students and faculties between NIET and university/higher educational institutions overseas for global outreach.
  • Establishing joint academic programs and cooperation in the field of joint research and conferences.

Semester Exchange

Semester Exchange Program gives opportunities to the students of partner institutions to spend one semester of full-time non-degree study along with a chance to study with professional development, community service, and cultural enrichment. You can study at NIET as an exchange student for a semester, in the Fall and Spring semester. By registering in courses, you can join on-campus activities and experience the full student life at NIET alongside your peers and build new relationships in a holistic learning environment

The Twinning Program is an innovative educational concept that uses institution-to-institution partnerships and peer relationships and broadens the scope of educational program by providing opportunity and access for candidates of partnering institutions aspiring to pursue higher studies. It emphasizes on professional exchanges and mentoring for the effective sharing of information, knowledge, and technology. We welcome the students from our partner institutions to NIET to explore an enticing journey of learning and culture.

Getting Started
NOMINATION & APPLICATION

NIET has Student Exchange Agreements with many institutions all around the world including Europe, Asia, and North America. Students from these partner institutions may apply for the Student Exchange Program at NIET and benefit from the 100% tuition fee waiver by enrolling themselves as an exchange student.


Nomination

A ‘Call for Nomination’ is sent to the partner universities through which coordinators of study abroad/international offices may nominate students for the upcoming semesters.

Apply at your home university to get nominated for the exchange program at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology. If already nominated, we are eager to welcome you. The nominated students once accepted, will receive an email from NIET confirming your nomination and instructions to proceed with the application. The confirmation email will be sent within 1-3 days from the date of nomination, with the exceptions of nominations made for not more than 10 students (Under Graduate/Post Graduate).

The deadlines for nominations every year are as follows:

Course selection

After submitting your application, you must choose the courses to be taken at NIET. The process will be as follows:

  1. Review the programs offered at NIET here.
  2. Choose a program.
  3. Review the program details, structure, courses and their descriptions, and learning outcomes.
  4. Review the arrangement of the courses over the academic year.
  5. Courses offered in Semesters 1,3,5,7 are for the Fall semester. Courses offered in Semesters 2,4,6,8 are for the Spring semester. These offerings are subject to changes.
  6. The exchange coordinator at the home university, can facilitate you in choosing a list of courses you would like to register for at NIET and fill them out in the Learning Agreement.

Learning Agreement

A learning agreement must be concluded by you, your home university and NIET. This agreement should include all the courses you plan on studying at NIET. Download now

After all the parties have signed the learning agreement, send it to us on ic@niet.co.in . The document will be sent to the International Cell at NIET to make the necessary registration in courses.


Admission

Registration

Once your documents have been verified and accepted and your courses are registered successfully, your NIET Student ID and password will be sent to the email you provided in your application. Correct email id and contact no. should be shared as all future communications will be through the same email.

Important Instructions Medical requirements
  • Please assure that you meet Medical fitness standard before you leave your country.
  • Also ensure that you have taken all the required vaccinations (Typhoid Vaccine, Hepatitis Vaccine), to avoid medical complications while you are in India (though it is not mandatory).
  • The student will require to furnish a declaration regarding medical fitness by an authorized medical practitioner.
  • If there are certain medicines that you are supposed to consume due to any medical reason prescribed by a doctor please carry them along. It is also suggested to carry the prescription of that medicine for any further reference.

The Travel Insurance is to be borne by the student and should be insured before travelling to India.

Accommodation

To give a feel of “Home away from Home”, NIET offers separate hostels for boys and girls on the campus. The hostels are comfortable with well-ventilated rooms providing a congenial study environment.

The accommodation provides the student with all the necessary facilities which help them acclimatize well to the new environment. Vegetarian food is offered to the students through, Non vegetarian meals (one Diet) may be offered at an extra charge of $10 per diet.

Any kind of food allergy needs to be disclosed in advance to avoid allergic reactions.
